How we source it
Rolls are quoted against the mill, the pass schedule and the material being rolled — that decides the metallurgy, hardness range and groove design far more than the barrel dimensions do. We work from your roll drawing or a sample, confirm the chock and bearing arrangement, and supply the inspection record for each roll so the roll shop can accept it without re-testing.

- Can you supply rolls cut to our groove drawing?
- Yes. Send the groove drawing or the pass schedule and we quote the roll finished-machined and grooved, with the dimensional report against your drawing supplied on delivery.
- Which roll grade should we use?
- That follows the stand position, rolled product and cooling regime — indefinite chill and high-chrome iron for finishing stands, adamite and SG iron for roughing and intermediate duty. Send the mill layout and current roll performance and we recommend a grade and expected campaign life.
- Do you supply chocks, bearings and roll-shop spares?
- Yes — chocks, roll-neck bearings, seals, thrust assemblies and balance cylinders are quoted alongside the rolls, to your drawing or the existing part number.
