How we source it

Most spares enquiries arrive as a part number off a nameplate, and that is enough to start. We identify the original manufacturer, quote the genuine part where it is available and a qualified equivalent where it is obsolete or on a long lead time, and state clearly which is which. Wear parts with no drawing are reverse-engineered from a sample and quoted with the material specification.

Mechanical & Metallurgy Equipment — frequently asked

We only have a part number from the nameplate — is that enough?
Usually yes. Send the part number with a photograph of the nameplate and, if possible, the equipment model. We identify the original manufacturer and confirm the part against their catalogue before quoting.
Do you supply genuine OEM parts or equivalents?
Both, and the quotation says which. Genuine parts where availability and lead time allow; qualified equivalents from established manufacturers where the original is obsolete, restricted or on an unacceptable lead time.
Can wear parts be made from a sample?
Yes. Send a sample or a dimensioned sketch and we quote reverse-engineered wear parts with the material grade, hardness and any heat treatment stated, plus a dimensional report on the first article.
