How we source it

Consumable tooling is a cost-per-cut question rather than a unit-price one. We quote against the material you are cutting, the machine speed and the finish you need, and where a higher-grade abrasive would lower the total cost through longer life or fewer wheel changes, the quotation shows both options with the arithmetic behind them. Repeat items go on a call-off schedule so the store never runs dry.

Abrasives & Cutting Tools — frequently asked

Which abrasive grade should we use?
It follows the workpiece material, the machine's surface speed and the finish required — zirconia and ceramic grains last longer on stainless and alloy steel, aluminium oxide is more economical on mild steel. Tell us the material and the machine and we quote accordingly.
Do you supply on a call-off or scheduled basis?
Yes. Regular consumables are held against an agreed annual quantity and released monthly or on demand, which fixes the price and keeps the store stocked without tying up your working capital.
Are the wheels certified to a safety standard?
Bonded abrasives are supplied to EN 12413 or the equivalent ANSI B7.1 requirements, with the maximum operating speed and expiry date marked on every wheel.
